How did you get started in the Hair industry?
I’ve always had a natural talent and love for styling hair but never realized the potential of the career. Until I was in college and got a job at a salon as a front desk receptionist. There I realized how much I really am passionate about hair and began figuring out how to make a career out of my passion!

What are your 3 must-have hair products?

If you could have dinner with one person living or deceased, whom would it be?
I would love to have dinner with Chris Appleton, I am so inspired by his work and how he made it to where he is today.

What’s your current favorite hair trend?
My current favorite hair trend is lived in color!

If you could style one celebrity’s hair, who would it be?
Khloe Kardashian!

Describe a typical day-in-your life?
A typical day in my life involves taking care of my two wiener dog children and being at the salon all hours of the day creating dream hair!

What’s the one habit everyone can do to get better/healthier hair?
One habit everyone can do to get better healthier hair is going longer in between washes!

Do you have an inspiring female role models or mentors?
My hair mentor is Logan Hutchison (lox.by.lo), I would not be the stylist I am today without her because she took me in as baby stylist out of hair school and taught me an amazing method of extensions and custom color techniques. Along with that she showed me what it means to run a business and create a healthy and amazing salon environment. I will forever look up to her!

Do you have any tips for artists starting out in the industry?
My advice for someone starting out in the industry is that your career will be what you make of it. You can achieve as much or as little as you want in those first years of your career. If you apply your passion and hard work 100% then you will see amazing strides towards your goals! Give it your all.

What do you do to feel more inspired?
To feel inspired I look at the work and content of stylists I look up to. It inspires me to work harder, learn more, and post more so I can get to where these stylists are one day!

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?
The best advice I’ve ever received was to assist after hair school. It’s not the most fun or easiest but it is so so rewarding once you are on your own as a stylist. You learn so much assisting another stylist starting out.

What’s been your proudest moment in the industry?
My proudest moment in the industry thus far is opening my own suite!

What would be your career path in another life?
In another life I would love to be a sports broadcaster!
