How did you get started in the Hair industry?
Growing up I always loved doing hair. I would spend hours experimenting with my own hair to always wanting to do my friends hair. My grandma was also a stylist her whole life so my parents like to say it ran in the family. I finally went to hair school at 20 years old at the Tony and Guy Academy. After I completed school I started at my first commission salon called Habit Salon. I worked there for 4 years where I learned and experienced so much, to teaching classes and helping with celebrity hair. After those years I felt It was time to branch off so I rented a salon suite with my close friends. I currently still renting a suite with my best friend and my amazing clientele I’ve build over the years. I can’t believe it’s been about 9 amazing years in the industry and I’m excited to keep growing.

Morgan Wallen because who wouldn’t haha

What’s your current favorite hair trend?
I just love and specialize in lived in natural hair so that will always be my favorite. Also hair extensions have been another new passion of mine.

If you could style one celebrity’s hair, who would it be?
Jennifer Aniston

Describe a typical day-in-your life?
Besides being at the salon on my off days I love to workout so I will always be at the gym. My mom and I are super close so we almost always do lunch on my off days or shop haha. I always end the day at home with my boyfriend and pups making dinner and unwinding watching our favorite shows.

What’s the one habit everyone can do to get better/healthier hair?
Always use a good hair oil and moisturize!

Do you have an inspiring female role models or mentors?
My good friend Megan who owns her own clothing boutique has been so inspiring to me. Even though it doesn’t involve hair I just see how passionate she is and how much her and her team have grown over the last couple years. She has shown me how great things take time, hard work and dedication. I always feel inspired after being with her.

Do you have any tips for artists starting out in the industry?
Starting out at a good commission salon that will help you grow and learn.

What do you do to feel more inspired?
I look at some of my favorite artists work, try new techniques, take a hair class and hangout with my friend Megan and talk about business things.

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?
To not compare yourself to others

What’s been your proudest moment in the industry?
Being where I am today and following the path that feels best and right for me.

What would be your career path in another life?
Interior designer or anything home related.
