How did you get started in the Hair industry?
I’ve always loved it! I think it’s in my blood because my family owned a salon and school. My grandmother was a hairstylist too. I Started as a shampoo girl and receptionist when I was 13 and loved it. Then I went to hair school in high school so I could start doing hair right out of high school. I love how rewarding and fulfilling this industry is.

What are your 3 must-have hair products?
Igk texture spray, idk good behavior spray, and oligo conditioning masque

If you could have dinner with one person living or deceased, whom would it be?
My mom or grandmother

What’s your current favorite hair trend?
Shadow root, balayage, dimensional color

If you could style one celebrity’s hair, who would it be?
Jennifer Aniston

Describe a typical day-in-your life?
Drink coffee, do hair, take hair pics, manage the salon, place orders for color and new clothes for our boutique

What’s the one habit everyone can do to get better/healthier hair?
Take vitamins, do a deep conditioning treatment, and get a trim!

Do you have an inspiring female role models or mentors?
Sharon Hunley- taught me so much business stuff and work flow systems

Do you have any tips for artists starting out in the industry?
Be an assistant to someone that wants to see you succeed! Invest in furthering your education as much as you can. There’s always more to learn!

What do you do to feel more inspired?
I like to bring in a model that allows me to have creative freedom. Also going to a hair show or class inspires me!

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?
In the end, you will only regret the chances you don’t take

What’s been your proudest moment in the industry?
Opening my salon and boutique. Seeing the girls there grow and become successful

What would be your career path in another life?
Flipping houses or photographer
